Daily affirmations for self-esteem are a great way to improve the way you feel about yourself and transform your inner dialogue. They will help you to become more self-reliant and enjoy a more positive life. A lot of this is because positive affirmations have the power to transform your habitual thinking patterns, rewrite your inner dialogue, and improve the way you think about yourself. All these help to shape your self-esteem.

“So, why aren’t more people using daily affirmations for self-esteem?”

This is a very common question, and the truth is that it’s because most people simply don’t know how powerful affirmations can be. Society teaches us that focusing on ourselves is wrong, and most people feel guilty about taking the time to build themselves. Unfortunately, most people fail to realize that they cannot do anything for anybody else until they take themselves.

Today, I am going to share with you an easy set of principles which you can use to construct positive affirmations that are simple and extremely powerful. Following these tips, you will be able to create your own daily affirmations for self-esteem, and create positive change within your life. I highly recommend that you use these in conjunction with the self-esteem meditation guide.

Begin With Your Standards

Before you can create your daily affirmations for self-esteem, you need to define a standard for building self-esteem. For example what is your idea of a person who has high self-esteem? Can you think of a specific person (either alive or dead) who you consider to have high self-esteem? If so you can begin to define the standards upon which you are going to build your self affirmations by observing the lifestyle of the person you want tomorrow. Think about this, what is the point in telling your brain that you’re going to be more confident, if you don’t have a guidepost of what confident people look like?

Your subconscious mind (which is what you are going to influence with your daily affirmations for self-esteem) responds best to specific direction. You need to be as clear as you can with the direction you want your mind to go. The best way to do that by coming up with specific actions that represent self-esteem to you. It can be something like the courage to speak to strangers, having more friends of the opposite sex, the courage to negotiate, or anything that you see as being more confident. Make sure that you come up with a list of actions that you believe to be typical of a person who has high confidence in themselves.

Next, Begin Crafting Your Personal Affirmations

Creating daily affirmations for self-esteem requires a little bit of work. You need to follow a simple little formula, which I will share with you today, in order to get the most benefit out of your affirmations.

Each affirmation needs to follow these principles:

  • The need to be in the present tense
  • They need to be positive statements
  • They need to be in first person
  • They need to contain a statement of action

In order to give you a bit of a reference point, here are a few examples that you can follow:

  • “I’m assertive and persuasive in my business negotiations.”
  • “I approach women and strangers and engage them in conversations.”
  • “I’m a master at closing sales.”
  • “I disciplined and self-reliant in following my exercise program.”

Notice that each of these affirmations have four things in common:

  • Each one is in the present tense
  • They are all affirmative, positive statements
  • They’re all written in first person
  • They all are specifically geared to one action

Once you have a positive affirmations written down according to these guidelines is only one thing left to do…

Rehearse Your Affirmations Daily

Daily affirmations for self-esteem need to be used consistently. This is a perpetual process that you need to use on a regular basis. As I said earlier, I highly recommend that you use them in conjunction with the meditation for self-esteem,(click the link to find it). This is important because it’s going to help you train your mind, which is no different than training your body. Both have to be done on a consistent basis in order to see the best results. If you slack off, just like with your physical body, your results will start to dissipate.

So make sure that you practice your daily affirmations for self-esteem everyday, and as you get bored with them simply write new ones that are more in tune with your current position. You will find that you continuously create new affirmations as you continue to grow and your life begins to change. Make a life long commitment to continuously build these affirmations into your daily life, and high self-esteem will become a natural part of your beliefs and guide your actions to drive you into success.
